At Mackay & Sons, we don’t hire through interviews, we invite you to prove yourself in the field. You’ll be shortlisted to attend a half-day Selection Session at our Narangba HQ, where we’ll test more than your resume.
Expect hands-on group activities, real-time challenges, and a chance to show how you problem-solve, communicate, and move under pressure. This is your opportunity to stand out by doing, not talking.

Minimum Requirements
What You’ll Need on Day One
To work safely and effectively on-site, all applicants must meet these base requirements. These ensure you’re ready for field conditions and can contribute to the team from day one.
- Valid Driver's Licence & Reliable Transport: You must have a current driver's licence and reliable transport to get to our Narangba headquarters on time, every time.
- Current Construction White Card: This is a non-negotiable safety requirement for all Australian construction sites.
- Clear and Effective Communicator: Our work is all about teamwork and safety. You must be able to listen to and follow instructions and clearly communicate with your crew and supervisor.
- Physically Fit & Ready for Hands-On Work: House removal is tough, physical work. You must be able to lift, carry, and work for extended periods outdoors and in various conditions.
- Safety-First Mindset: You must be committed to following all procedures, taking direction, and prioritising safety for yourself and your teammates above all else.
